One of my keys for success in your health journey is having delicious alternatives to your favorite maybe not so healthy foods. These “Chocti Bites” are yummier than any naughty chocolate bar at the supermarket.
It’s kinda crazy that something that tastes this good is considered a healthy treat. I have made this desert for many friends and family and I am yet to find someone that doesn’t love these things as much as I do. These deserts are gluten free and free of refined sugars rather they are sweetened with dates and stevia.
Carob is often used as a replacement for cacao or cocoa, Carob has a naturally sweet taste, without the stimulants typically found in chocolate. Besides being delicious, carob is high in fibre, is a good source of calcium, and has vitamins B2 and B6, potassium and iron. It also offers a number of vitamins (A, B1, B2, B3, B6, B9, E) and minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc)
This cake is sweetened with nothing but bananas and 4 dates :) and taste sooooooo good. The tahini/ sesame seeds are rich in minerals such as phosphorus, lecithin, magnesium, potassium and iron. Sesame seeds are also extremely high in calcium that your body knows how to absorb. Tahini helps support healthy cell growth so we stay alive and strong :) This cake is basically medicine.
